Peterborough Christmas Lights 2026

Peterborough's Big Christmas Lights Switch On, Friday 20 November from 5pm supported by Boomerang Radio.

It's one of the city’s most popular events with thousands of visitors packing into Cathedral Square.

We'll be joined on stage by the Peterborough Cathedral Choir, the Peterborough Rock Choir, local singers Thomas Dunleavy and Malcolm Fovargue and a special appearance from the cast of The Cresset Panto.

Local mascots including Peter Burrow from The Posh will be there too and, of course, Father Christmas and Mrs Claus.

Boomerang Radio's Dave Price will play a mini Christmas party set following the lights being switched on after 7pm.

The event is provided by Peterborough City Council and supported by Boomerang Radio.
