Boomerang Radio, like every local commercial station in the British Isles, has programming obligations and requirements, including its music and local content. These obligations are set out in the station format which forms part of our Public File.
News
RadioNewsHub supply the main national and international news stories of the day, alongside the latest weather, sport, entertainment and business news.
Bulletin Schedule
Boomerang Radio broadcasts bulletins at the following times:
News bulletins hourly, on the hour, 24 hours a day.
News headlines at 6.30am, 7.30am, 8.30am, 5.30pm and 6.30pm (Monday to Friday).
Business News at 6.45am and 12.30pm (Monday to Friday).
Entertainment News at 8.30am, 1.30pm, and 6.30pm (Monday to Friday).
Sport News 7.30am and 5.30pm (Monday to Friday).

The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to Peterborough, Huntingdon, Cambridge, Ely, St Neots, and the various towns and villages that make up Cambridgeshire.
Our mission has always been to be a big city sound, however we will always strive to be at the heart of the local community.

The Station
Station Format
Boomerang Radio aims to provide engaging and entertaining radio, whilst providing the latest news and weather, sport, entertainment, and business news.
The radio station plans to support and play an active part in the local community, attending as many local events as possible to bring people together.
All this whilst providing an unrivalled advertising platform for local businesses.
Our music policy is designed to be upbeat and instantly recognisable. We play the best of the 1960s through the 1990s, with a sprinkling of the biggest hits from the early 2000s.
How To Complain
Any complaints made are logged immediately with an acknowledgement receipt issued to the complainant within 24 hours. The details are then passed on to the relevant department.
We will aim to resolve any complaint within 10 working days. If under any circumstances a solution to the complaint cannot be agreed, a further complaint can be made with Ofcom.
For advertising complaints, if we can not find a solution, the complaint can be taken up with ASA.

Programming
Boomerang Radio has variety of programmes from radio professionals that have many years experience broadcasting.
As well as shows like breakfast and drive, and midmornings and the evening show throughout the week, we also have some specialist shows on the radio station. With Soul and Motown, Softrock and The 80s Mixtape, we believe that we have something for everyone.
