John has been interested in radio and music from the age of ten, having been brought up in a home where music prevailed.

His first radio was a Perdio handheld transistor model. Using a tin tray underneath brought in Radio Luxembourg quite well!

He enjoyed music and offshore radio in the sixties. He learned, like many others, about radio, by being involved in Hospital Radio.

John's family relocated to Ramsey, Cambridgeshire from Hertfordshire in 1998. He found the locals to be very friendly.

He enjoys a wide range of music, particularly "Soft Rock" with favourites including Eagles, Dire Straits, Pink Floyd, Beatles and the like.
