Affectionately known as Kazzi B, Karen Barber was born in Corby, Northamptonshire, a town that has shaped both her life and her love of community radio. Having recently retired from Kettering General Hospital, where she dedicated many years working as a cytologist, Kazzi B is now embracing the freedom to focus even more on her lifelong passion for music and broadcasting.

A true soul girl at heart, Kazzi B has an enduring love for the classics, spinning everything from 1960s oldies through to the best sounds of the last five decades. Her musical knowledge and warm, engaging style have made her a familiar and much-loved voice on the airwaves.

Kazzi B has been involved with Corby Radio for over 30 years, working both behind the microphone and on air, and has been a presenter for the past 12 years. She is also proudly recognised as one of the original founders of Corby Radio, helping to build the station from the ground up and playing a key role in its community spirit and success.

Now, as she steps into the next chapter of her journey, Kazzi B is looking forward to Sunday lunchtimes on Boomerang Radio, where she’ll be playing great music guaranteed to spark memories, lift spirits, and keep the soul alive.
